The judges have decided to give the 2017 Lamp Lighting Award for URBAN AND LANDSCAPE LIGHTING to LIGHT IN TRANSITION CENTRAL SQUARE OF KOZANI, in Kozani, Greece, by Mara Spentza, for "implementing a Lighting Strategy in the midst of an economic crisis is not only courageous it truly recognises Light's ability to provide central focus to a community and increase social engagement, stimulating night-time economy and enhancing a whole town's identity".
